"Sediments of Silence" is an original contemporary painting measuring 70 x 100 cm, executed in acrylic and mixed media on canvas, with gesso, sand and modelling paste. Built through layered passages of blue, pale aqua, mineral white, blue-green and softened earthy notes, the work develops as a field of vertical descent, light diffusion and sedimented material presence. The painting is structured around a tension between fluidity and accumulation. Fine descending lines evoke rainfall, reeds, submerged roots or slow mineral seepage, while the denser lower register grounds the composition with weight and visual credibility. Across the surface, textured deposits, pale mineral blooms and softened chromatic veils create the sense that the image has not been painted onto the surface alone, but has emerged through gradual accretion, erosion and atmospheric settling. What gives the work its force is this dual condition: it feels both aqueous and geological.
