Bridge of Bliss was inspired by the weeks and months I have spent in the Netherlands. At each pivot point in my life I always find myself in Amsterdam. The canals and leaning Renaissance structures are like a map of my soul. During one of my recent visits there was a sudden blizzard and the city became a colorful bright wonderland. The darkness of Midwinter blasted by the snow that blanketed everything. The frozen canals reflected rainbow prisms of light in every hue. Though it was January, an inner glow bloomed from cobblestoned streets. Each museum I visited on that trip had something new to teach. It was as though the town itself was creating new experiences just for me! I spent hours in the Cat Museum, a 17th century mansion whose carved fireplaces, bannisters and period art was all feline focussed, to my delight. The museum of Phosphorence featured an intimate blacklight tour of everything that glows in the dark, or under the right lighting.
