Though it is a very small city, I always feel a little overwhelmed by all the visual pomp and splendor. I hope viewers feel the way I do with Vegas and this piece. Its loud but in a joyful upbeat way and I hope, strangely enticing just like its namesake city. I chose to use an old cassette tape as the 'venue' so I could cram it full of all the packed in, over amped excitement of Vegas. I was attempting to capture both some of the thrill of this garish, completely synthetic artificial place along with a sincere appreciation and love for all the thousands who work to make the city bright and enjoyable.
