They energize and sooth. As a small child, my mom dressed me almost entirely in Blues until I was ten years old. Only later did I have the insight that it was not just to enhance my eyes but because she instinctively sensed the calming effect. I hope viewers will find some solace, even calm joy in this piece of the Blues. I chose to focus on blues because it is my favorite color and tempers my moods. I doodled sketches on small pieces of fine artist’s board so I could play with their arrangement on the canvas.
