The slots originally held letter press font and was used in printing. I was in awe of the craftmanship and beauty of the piece and tried to capture the joy and dynamism of its original purpose by using glitter and neon to evoke a sense of kinetic and visual excitement. I found it in a local dumpster and I wanted to honor its importance with love. It truly speaks.
