Also my overactive imagination, triggered always by nature and extreme beauty. Walking alone after a hard rain, I often saw creatures in the forest that do not exist anymore. They were always just out of view, camouflaged by Flora and the spotted boughs of dense scrub. Wierd Birds withour feathers. Hybrid Dinosaur mammalian creatures that glowed in the dappled Forest Light of a Primeval Habitat. AThe piece also reminds me of the Primavera Pasta one finds in Italian Restaurants. You know the kind with fresh peas, carrots and other vegetables folded into the sauce. Both of the ideas have the same underlying concept to me of a place (or dish?) that is fresh, pure and whole in and for itself. Untouched, but maybe not completely? I hope viewers will enjoy the intentionally blurred focus of the shapes and forms of animals and plants. I chose the medium of multiple layers of acrylic paint, separated by coats of matte, medium thickness acrylic gel medium to seal each layer of chroma and intention. I worked very fast and intentionally without giving the result much thought each time I would back into the piece. I used to suck on caramel coated, Sour Apple lolipops sometimes while working. Once while daubing flecks of paint I flicked off a brush onto the canvas, disaster struck. At least, it was catastrophic to me! The lolipop in my mouth stuck to my teeth. No matter how hard I tried I could not dislodge it, let alone move it. I thought as I worked on the painting that eventually the lolipop would dissolve and melt. Instead when I gently attempted to lift it, I felt one of my teeth wiggle. Ugh. It turned out to be Implant tooth I had had done on a lower molar. The tooth never popped out but it would squirm about if I ate anything chewy. Eventually it would need to be replaced. Yet at the time, as I worked, the panic ebbed and dissolved. I was undisturbed. I decided to memorialize the moment by keeping the neon green wrapper. I glued it carefully and firmly to the upper right hand quadrant of the painting. The scene was no longer completely Primeva, Primeval or Primavera!
