Each place, though distinct, shares a timeless rhythm — where land, cloud, and light seem to breathe as one. Through soft layers of oil and subtle texture, the painting evokes that universal sense of calm found wherever rolling terrain meets drifting mist. It is both a memory and a meditation — an ode to landscapes that transcend borders and speak in silence. In Rolling Hills, I tried to translate the quiet grandeur of my travels — from the Scottish Highlands to Meghalaya, Ireland, and Iceland — into a meditative landscape of texture and tone. Brushwork is fluid yet deliberate: sweeping strokes build rhythm across the canvas, while layered oils capture shifting light and atmosphere. The surface shimmers with translucent greens and muted golds, creating a sense of depth that shifts with the light — much like the landscapes that inspired it.
