I knew very little of Catholicism but was fascinated and drawn to the concept of faith in its tradition and practice. Having been raised in the Jewish tradition, this was very different indeed. Judaism is NOT a faith based religion, but Catholicism demands belief in the Trinity and other things. I discovered an affinity for the symbolism that suffused the religion. I hope that viewers will enjoy my sincere yet naive approach. I chose to use small faux gemstones and found other objects to visualize the concept of the redeemer.
