Decades later, when I had to wake up at 4 am for my work at a stock brokerage, LOST IN SPACE was still re-running on television in the with back to back episodes from 4 to 5 am! I fell in love with it again. It sparked my sense of wonder. That and it made it easier to get up early and added a sense of magic and meaning to my troubles existence. I hope viewers will enjoy the piece as an understated homage to the infinite reaches and mysteries of space, as imagined by a child. That and the unknown possibilities and adventures of life itself. I decided to work on a small canvas with limited materials and a muted color palette to focus on the nebulous but very powerful idea of limitlessness.
