I knew I could never deploy them, even if I had mice because of the inhumane way the traps maim mice without even fully killing them. As it happens, everyone in my family except my father has an innate horror and fear of all rodents. Thankfully, though I found snakes in the cabin, aslithering inexplicably on the Lineoleum kitchen floor, and the head of a bird on my pillow,I never saw a single mouse in the house! This might have something with my cat Bootsie --but I am still grateful that I never heard those dreadful squeaks and scampering tiny feet. I hope viewers will see this simply as an exhibit of something bizarre and cruel our civilization invented, without any fixed or embedded meaning. Or judgment for that matter! I chose the mousetraps because I found them in my new house and have a weird quirk of not tossing anything I find that is quirky or peculiar. I wanted to use the tiny barbaric instruments of 20th Century in some creative Dada way. What do you think of mice and mouse traps?
