I hope viewers can feel the immediacy of 2015 when the trial went down and the ladies became global folk heroes. That and their freedom a few years later! I chose to work in a graffiti or street art format, printing out stories and pictures of the women and contrasting it with illustrations of Pussycats. That and rough layers of paint, gesso and acrylic sealant. It is meant to look rough and tumble, the protest posters that inspired me!
