Stop, LOOK, listen. Description This piece was inspired by the unstoppable determination of the women in the Russian Punk Band PUSSY RIOT. I hope viewers will get a sense of the determination, joy and inspiration their courage represents. Even while imprisoned in Gulags for years with no hope of release they kept their stubborn resolve to speak up against repression. I chose to use as my jumping off point, this yellow Stop Sign I found by the side of the road. I had never seen a yellow stop sign and I thought I could repurpose and transform it.
