Two-Dimensional Planet is a piece inspired by a dream I had that I was on an alien planet. It was completely flat and two-dimensional. In the dream, I was lucid enough to be flabbergasted. How could anything on earth be two-dimensional. Then I realze I ap not on earth. A sweet childlike voice coming from the air tells me that everything is possible for those who believe. I think to myself. Odd, since I don't much believe in anything. Plus the whole look and feel of this world reminds me of Descartes. I think therefore I am. So, here's a new piece I'm sharing: Two-Dimensional Planet. It is part of the 1001 Landscapes series I completed a couple days ago, this July 2026. Layered bands of dusty rose, ochre and deep plum move across the piece, punctuated by repeating triangles and a ring of circular marks near the top. Rows of angular forms set up a steady, slightly irregular rhythm that feels architectural, while tessellated patterns lower down add texture and small surprises. The palette balances warmth and restraint, with mauve and coppery tones feeling autumnal and blacks and whites giving clear punctuation. Where would you hang this?
