The inspiration came from a personal memory of an exciting trip to Provence, during which the author had the opportunity to deepen her knowledge of the artist Van Gogh, experiencing the beauty of the colors and light of those places that inspired many of his paintings. Observing the evocative colors, shapes, and movement evoked by Van Gogh's painting "The Starry Night," Merilù Di Gregorio's work "Suggestions" was born as a modest tribute to an international artist who has inspired and continues to inspire new generations. This method is suitable for creating line, movement and volume as an additional artistic step beyond the sartorial mastery of bespoke sewing (creative MDG tailoring technique).
