I hope viewers will experience some of the joy, whimsy and quiet respect for peoples from all countries. Or perhaps a sense of joyful, elegiac memories of a bygone era. I used fine art paper, and glued pen and ink and watercolor doodles I did during my classes onto the main paper, adjusting placement but not correcting anything per se. It was a true collage without a specific intention at the time (1986) and I didn't look at the piece until I found it after 40 years in a closet, while I was cleaning out my parents house.
