With Spring almost here in Australia I look forward to seeing my beautiful Lilac bush in bloom and to enjoy the exquisite aroma in my garden. The heavy fragrance drifts around my front garden and the cone shaped panicles of soft lilac crowd the branches and flow elegantly around the bush. The clusters hold dozens of tiny, fragrant, four lobed flowers which are breathtakingly beautiful! I used a few shades of purple to depict the tones in the artwork and a metallic pencil to add texture and drama. The flowers have a variation of lilac tones including creamy pale lilac.
