Confused Cats is a meditation on my friends and companions who happened to be people of fur. Most of the time, my familiars always seemed very sure of themselves. Whether unravelling an entire roll of toilet paper for fun, teaching themselves to use the toilet when not drinking from the toilet, opening doors and cabinets or most anything, the feline friends almost always seemed confident. Yet rarely, they were confounded, either by a new appliance, sound, smell or behavior U exhibited. Perhaps they can be most loveably sentient when they are truly muddled. So using acrylic, paint pens and my limited drawing abilities I watched my cat Kale and her daughter Neta, noting when they paused and seemed flummoxed or gobbersmacked.
