This is a collage full of tattered scraps, rusted pans and decayed beads from someones jewelry left in a bombed put apartment building in Kyiv. At least, that is what I imagined the scene where this fractured work could be found. Glitter, decaying metal, rust, coppery bluish tones like varicose veins and snippets of magazines that look torn, bent and zinged are some of the elements I included in this piece. it is an homage to the unyielding courage and fortitude of the Ukranian people.
