This painting began with colour. I wanted the deep pink to feel intense and enveloping, almost as if it were coming from within the canvas rather than simply covering its surface. The black came afterwards, instinctively, bringing weight and contrast. Then a small touch of orange found its place — unexpected, but necessary. I called it *resonance* because, for me, some colors and gestures stay with you. They create a feeling that is difficult to explain, but continues to echo long after you look away.
