Rooted in the geological and atmospheric conditions of Serra da Estrela, my large-scale abstract paintings translate erosion, sedimentation, absorption, pressure and exposure into layered material surfaces. Built through colour, gesture and mineral matter, the works do not illustrate a landscape; they carry its physical logic and accumulated time. Blue, when present, is treated as behaviour rather than a fixed colour, changing with light, surface density, viewing distance and the movement of the viewer. Conceived in direct relationship with the body and architecture, the paintings establish presence from a distance while revealing texture and material detail at close range. These works are particularly suited to hotel lobbies, lounges, restaurants, wellness and spa environments, premium residential interiors, executive offices, reception areas, healthcare and contemplative spaces, as well as architectural commissions and institutional settings. They are most effective where a space requires scale, atmosphere and a distinctive sense of place without visual noise.
