Trying to find the extraordinary in the ordinary, and the beauty in decay, then transform them in my artworks. 1946: Born in Tokyo. 1972 – 1999: Lived and worked in Paris. 1984 – 1986: Studied fashion design school, Paris. 1988 – 1995: Worked for Jean-Charles de Castelbajac. 1999: Returned to Tokyo, then moved to Kanagawa. 2023 - Lives and works in Kanagawa, Japan. Solo exhibitions: 1986 – 2008: 14 exhibitions in Paris, New York, Tokyo, Kyoto, and Okinawa. Group exhibitions: 1990 – 2026: 21 exhibitions in New York, France, Tokyo, Osaka, and London. May 2026: “Landscape Natural and Urban” at SITE: Brooklyn Gallery, New York.
