Hello, I'm Alessandra Carrea.

Sono italiana, figlia di un pittore. Per molti anni mi sono dedicata alla fotografia, soprattutto in bianco e nero. Dopo un viaggio in Giappone, al mio ritorno ho sentito il bisogno di raccontare le emozioni vissute attraverso il colore. Ho iniziato usando dei colori acquistati in una piccola cartoleria di Tokyo, e così ho scoperto l’amore per la pittura. I am Italian, the daughter of a painter. For many years I devoted myself to photography, especially black-and-white photography. After a journey to Japan, upon returning home I felt the need to express my emotions through color. I began using paints I had bought in a small stationery shop in Tokyo, and that is how I discovered my love for painting. I paint with my fingers and with a sponge, often using my left hand, allowing the gesture to remain free and instinctive. I believe my paintings are, above all, an inner dialogue with myself: an introspective exploration, a way of giving voice to things that others may not always understand about my inner universe and my spirituality.
