Hello, I'm Elena Lourie.

I live and work in Israel. I am interested in the human ability to stay connected to oneself during times of uncertainty, anxiety, and inner change. For me, art is a way of living through what is happening. It is a way of creating a space within an anxious reality where it is possible to live, to feel, and to remain connected to oneself. In my experience, the world rarely speaks literally—it speaks through metaphor. That is why I turn to images that help express inner experiences through symbols and associations. Often, this is how emotions become understandable before they can be put into words. Artificial intelligence has become an artistic tool that helps me discover unexpected connections between feelings, symbols, and images. It allows me to visualize what exists on the level of sensation rather than rational explanation. I continue to search for a visual language that allows me to speak about the inner human experience through metaphor and imagery. For me, every new image is another attempt to understand and live through what cannot be expressed in words alone.
