Hello, I'm Sofía Gopar.

Soy una artista uruguaya que trabaja principalmente con óleo, carbonilla y pastel. Mis obras nacen de la búsqueda de espacios de calma, contemplación y conexión con la naturaleza y la figura humana. Me interesa capturar la belleza de los momentos cotidianos y crear imágenes que inviten a detenerse y observar con atención. Actualmente me desempeño como Maestra de Educación Primaria y estudio Terapia Ocupacional, experiencias que enriquecen mi mirada artística y profundizan mi interés por las emociones, el bienestar y el vínculo entre las personas y su entorno. A través de mi trabajo busco crear obras que inviten a detenerse, observar con atención y reencontrarse con uno mismo, ofreciendo un instante de pausa en medio del ritmo cotidiano. I am a Uruguayan artist working primarily with oil paint, charcoal, and pastel. My work is inspired by a search for moments of calm, contemplation, and connection with nature and the human figure. I am interested in capturing the beauty of everyday moments and creating images that invite viewers to slow down and observe with intention. Alongside my artistic practice, I work as a primary school teacher and study Occupational Therapy. These experiences enrich my artistic perspective and deepen my interest in emotions, well-being, and the relationship between people and their surroundings. Through my work, I seek to create pieces that invite viewers to pause, observe with intention, and reconnect with themselves, offering a moment of stillness amid the pace of everyday life.
