Fragment I - Textile Artwork This textile artwork is created through the process of wet felting using natural wool remnants in their original color alongside fibers naturally dyed with black tea, black beans, and hibiscus tea. During the felting process, the hibiscus dye undergoes a transformation, shifting from reddish tones into muted greens, revealing the unpredictable interaction between water, fiber, and time. My practice explores texture, irregular forms, and the expressive potential of natural materials. Rather than pursuing control or perfection, I work in collaboration with the material, allowing the fibers to retain aspects of their own character and behavior. Imperfection becomes an essential part of the work, not as a flaw, but as a record of process and transformation. The surface evokes cartographic traces, geological formations, and fragments of terrain. These imagined landscapes emerge alongside personal memories, tactile experiences, and observations accumulated over time. Through a slow and intuitive making process, layers are built, compressed, and reshaped, creating forms that suggest both physical sedimentation and the accumulation of memory. Each work develops through a unique sequence of gestures and material responses that cannot be exactly repeated. The resulting piece exists as a singular fragment - part landscape, part memory, suspended between mapping an external territory and tracing an internal one. Artwork is sold unframed.
