Hello, I'm Patricia Azambuja.

Patricia Azambuja is a Brazilian textile artist and designer whose practice investigates the relationship between material, time, and gesture through textile surfaces and sculptural wall-based forms. Holding a PhD in Fashion Design, she develops a research-driven approach grounded in sustainable processes, transforming natural wool and reclaimed fibers into contemporary artworks. Her practice unfolds through two complementary bodies of work: felted textile pieces that explore surface, texture, and composition, and sculptural wall works created from reclaimed wool, organic binders, and natural pigments. Together, these works investigate transformation, material memory, and the expressive potential of fiber beyond its conventional function. Situated at the intersection of art, design, and nature, her work reveals tactile landscapes and organic structures shaped by processes of accumulation, reconfiguration, and change. Through a sensitive engagement with materials, Azambuja develops a distinctive contemporary language in which softness and structure, fragility and permanence, coexist in dynamic balance.
