Fragment III - Textile Artwork This textile artwork evokes an imagined landscape shaped by circular movement, flow, and gradual transformation. Layers of fiber, color, and texture gather and shift across the surface, recalling sediment carried by unseen currents and traces formed through continuous movement. The work is created through wet felting using natural wool fibers alongside reclaimed wool remnants naturally dyed with black tea, black beans, and hibiscus tea. Through water, pressure, movement, and compression, the fibers gradually interlock and transform. The process allows forms to emerge through a dialogue between deliberate gestures and the unpredictable responses of the material. My practice explores texture, irregular forms, and the expressive potential of natural materials. I work with the material rather than attempting to impose complete control, allowing variations in density, color, surface, and form to remain visible. These irregularities become records of the process and of the forces that shaped the work. The circular movement within the composition suggests the fluid nature of recollection. Like currents carrying and rearranging sediment, memories can move between presence and absence, with fragments emerging, dissolving, and settling into new forms. The surface becomes a suspended terrain where movement and stillness, accumulation and release, coexist. Each work develops through a unique sequence of gestures and material responses that cannot be exactly repeated.
