Enlarged Perception "FROZEN IN TIME" My artistic practice begins with small-scale acrylic studies on paper. Drawing on my background in gemology, I have long been fascinated by the hidden beauty revealed through close observation. While examining one of my studies with a high-resolution digital camera, magnification revealed intricate structures, textures, and subtle colour relationships that were almost imperceptible to the naked eye. Rather than enlarging the painting itself, I uncovered an entirely new visual composition concealed within it. Like traditional preparatory studies, these small paintings are not the finished works. They are the creative source from which each final artwork emerges. Using high-resolution imaging, carefully selected details are transformed into museum-quality Fine Art Prints on aluminium panels. Produced as limited editions, these works are not reproductions but independent compositions, each revealing a hidden world that only becomes visible through magnification. My years in the gemstone and jewellery industry taught me to recognise extraordinary beauty in the smallest details—in crystalline structures, inclusions, and subtle variations of colour. This way of seeing continues to shape my artistic vision. For me, magnification is not simply a technical process but a way of uncovering visual realities that remain hidden in everyday perception.
