Amazon Canopy explores the interplay of light, atmosphere, and dense vegetation within the Amazon rainforest. Working in a contemporary impressionist language that borders on abstraction, I build the surface through layered oil glazes and expressive brushwork, allowing forms to emerge gradually from color and texture. Rather than documenting a place, the painting conveys the sensory experience of the forest—its depth, movement, and quiet mystery. Part of my Amazon series inspired by the Bienal Amazônia in Brazil, the work is both a celebration of nature and a reflection on its delicate resilience.
