During these marathon viewing and evaluation sessions, I found myself listening to the B-52's album COSMIC THING for hours on end day after day. I still find new things to love in their music. I hope viewers will feel a fun, frolicsome, energetic charge from the love and energy I put into my work on the painting and by extension during all the years of renovating hundreds of homes! I found the piece of wood that the work is painted while walking around the 6 acre property outside my log cabin in Knoxville, TN. All the pastels, crayons and paint were drawn directly onto the wood and then blended slightly before the whole piece was sealed with an acrylic matte gel medium.
