“Deliver us from delays” is the second piece in my ongoing “Tourists” series. There are few guarantees in life like waiting for the F train. It’s guaranteed to be late because it’s running on the R line, running local, running on damaged tracks, running partially or just not running at all. This painting depicts the Hindu God Ganesha, the remover of obstacles in a NYC subway as the F train approaches on time. The fluorescent colors used in this painting have a distinct glow under black lights.
