I'm sharing DONT GRAB MY PUSSY, a piece that was inspired by the years long, wrongful imprisonment of the four single-working mother members of the Russian Punk Rock protest band known as PUSSY RIOT. The piece was commissioned as part a large solo exhibit at the American University in Paris. DONT GRAB MY PUSSY is a piece built from a grid of squate cut outs from magazines, self-sticking foam glitter crafting sheets and below it, 3 small original paintings. Each panel offers its own palette of color, pattern and visual noise. Bold protest posters and clipped ephemera introduce the main themes. The concept is that the whole reads like a sequence of short, overlapping scenes that stay lively without feeling chaotic.
