Today I’m reflecting on “E! Entertainment.” Years ago, I was a producer for the network on a tv show called Mysteries & Scandals. It was the best job I ever had! My colleagues were passionately creative, kind and thoughtful. So I made this piece using objects I collected during that period. I had absentmindedly forgotten for decades in one of my shoebox keepsake collections. It includes knobs off a dresser that fell off during a reenactment I directed about Ramon Novarro' tragic and horrific murder by two hustlers. Also photos from a team party at a Mexican Restauranr in Sest Hollywood, a piece of the Ruby Slippers I had created by the prop designee for my Judy Garland episod... The piece also includes an invitation to an E! Xmas party where the Musical Entertainment was the popular band, EVERCLEAR. Plus, the Altoid tins where I hid the cigarettes, joints, and spearmint Altoids I sucked on while directing our all-night host wrap shoots on Hollywood Boulevard!
