As a child living there in the Summer, I would often see men lugging their equipment to their boats. I would imagine what equipment they would haul out on their boats and what the bottom of their boats looked like, from the POV of the fish below them. I drew this in from the imaginings of a small child (me) because that is when the memory formed. I chose to use layers of material to suggest pebbles, rocks, flotsam and the texture of a North Fork Beach.
