He was blonde, agile and reminded me in the dream of Peter Pan. I actually did several small watercolors of the Green Knight in 1985. I found the two featured in this painting in a closet at my parents house in 2024, forty years after I made the watercolors. Last year, I combined the old water color paintings on a canvas as one piece. I then added a unifying structure through stick on glitter felt appliques and other items. I hope viewers will simply engage a bit in the whimsy and fanciful combination of past and present reflection. When I made the initial works, I was nineteen. I completed the pece forty- one years later! So many story possibilities herein and I enjoy the aesthetics. I chose to work in water colors primarily because it preserves the spontanaity the dream vision.
