Gnarly bros’ dude. This work was second inspired by struggles of the people of Ukraine, to survive and define rheir own unique identity. The stories I have read, and images I have seen are pretty wrenching, viscerally and emotionally. Witnessing normal civilians in Ukraine as they are fired upon and targeted, injured or killed, or just as likely, crushed or blown up. That is for better or worse, getting free rent in my heart. I am honored to have these guests, they remind me that life is precious. This I hope viewers will take something they remember from the piece. Is there something specific you like about it? Dislike? I chose to incorporate several smaller works on hardboard into a greater piece as a way to organize, format and present a story. Or at least, a discernible vibe.
