Not just stuck but also lost, led astray and fearful. Eventually it ocurred to me that the other side of my worry, abject terror and depression could also be positive transformation. I wasnt sure what I would do next after leaving a 14-year VP position at a large media conglomerate. I knew I was at a crossroads in life. I kept having dreams of a magical, electric forest where nothing was what it seemed. 
I knew both in the dreams I was having of this dark woods that something inside was growing, something was dying and the whole thing might result in change for the better, if I allowed it to happen. So I started creating this piece in the ephemeral hope that everything was working for the very best. It was a healing process. I hope that viewers will feel a sense of love, belonging and the surety that life can work itsekf out when viewing and experiencing the piece. 
I chose the box because I had cassette tape boxes I no longer used. I enjoyed ripping away portions of the insides but leaving the core structure of the grid intact. The Glitter, Twigs and tiny baubles and charms were found during my daily walks at dawn, dusk and during the moist Tennessee mountain nights.
