I had these IDs when I was 19. I used them to obtain a work permit in France, where I ended up working as a waiter over the summer after my Freshman year in college. Nostalgia can be sweet but also heavy and full of intense emotion! I hope viewers will recognize the face of a somewhat naive, hopeful young man in 1984. Me!I chose to use the ID cards as a centerpiece and then embellish around them to create a frame if you will. I did this by doodling with acrylic paint markers to create a borders on the canvas.
