This piece was inspired by my memories of the North Fork of Long Island in Southold at Hashimamuck Pond. The view from our porch looked out over the pond at night. All you could hear were the swans the insects and the occasional Osprey sometimes you could also hear fisherman digging clams out, and it made a strange grinding noise. The pond was most beautiful I thought at night, even though you could barely see it and I often dream of it to this day.
