I have always been drawn to balance, but rarely to perfect symmetry. In *Off Axis*, I wanted the composition to feel structured while allowing something to shift, almost as if it had found its own place. The depth of the reds and pinks came first, with small traces of orange bringing warmth to the surface. Then came the black cross, deliberately pushed to one side. For me, it changes everything — it anchors the painting without trying to centre it. I like that slight imbalance. It feels more natural to me, more alive. *Off Axis* is about finding harmony without needing everything to be perfectly aligned.
