I was surprised at the sense of belonging I felt there and my appreciation for what had been created in the modern state of Israel. There is certainly tension and even conflict there but the importance and beauty of Israel supercedes this. I hope viewers will find enjoyment at this aesthetic collage. I chose to,use a mixed media collage technique, combining small gift boxes with found objects and small keepsake items I found in Jerusalem, in the Galilee and so forth.
