The things I didn't get to say, and the things you'll never get to hear, both are my regrets to carry. I'm just hoping I can lessen the weight and maybe some of the guilt I've been holding in. I didn't cherish you completely, not because I took you for granted, but because I thought there was always more time. I didn't think we would be robbed of this connection, and that everything is now a memory. I wish I could have told you that I loved you more. I wish I could make more of an effort to spend more time in your presence. In those moments we shared, I embraced you with my all-but, pieces of me, the broken pieces, feel like it wasn't enough.
