"State of Mind" is not simply a painting — it is a life told in colour. Born in Albania under a communist regime where words were dangerous and feelings had to be silenced, Anila found in painting the only language that could not be taken away. The dark, heavy tones at the base carry the weight of those years — the oppression, the silence, the longing for something more. But the eye is drawn upward. The turbulent sea speaks of courage — of a young woman who looked across the water and dared to believe that Italy held a different life. And it did. Behind this canvas lives a true and powerful story — one that no collector or gallerist can remain indifferent to. This is not just a landscape. This is a soul, painted.
