DAS Gallerie I love this piece and was inspired to create it when meditating on the treasure of gratitude and bountiful reasons to love, not just others -- but oneself! Here is the concept: A scuffed blue tub holds a dense tangle of costume jewelry, coiled faux pearls, glass beads, enamel medallions, and thin chains caught on one another. Warm amber beads and coral discs puncture fields of white while mottled metals and tiny rhinestones add cool flecks; repeating loops and overlapping circles set up a rhythm that the single chain spilling over the rim quietly disrupts. It reads like a study of objects and texture, a little playful, a little worn, with small surprises the more you look. I find new details every time. What do you make of it?
