IZINYEMBEZI ZELANGA is a meditation on creation, illumination, and the awakening of consciousness. Inspired by the cosmological narratives in Credo Mutwa’s Indaba My Children, the work draws from African creation stories in which the sun is understood not merely as a celestial body, but as a living force that sustains life, transmits wisdom, and reveals the hidden dimensions of existence. Through it’s symbolic vocabulary, Izinyembezi Zelanga becomes both a personal meditation and a universal reflection on humanity’s enduring search for light, knowledge, and the divine source from which all life emerges.
