The Beatles - Blackbird · 100x70cm · acrylic and oil pastel on canvas ~ This painting is a visual translation of Blackbird by The Beatles rather than an illustration of it. This is how I see the song through my synesthesia — in colors. The 17 colorful marks represent the significant notes of the main guitar motif, leading the eye from the bottom to the top, just as the melody moves upwards. I wanted the background to feel organic and fluid, so the individual colors almost appear like distinct sounds emerging from an undefined space. The whole painting gradually becomes lighter towards the top, creating a sense of movement, taking flight, and moving from darkness into light — something that, for me, naturally resonates with Blackbird
